Ripe tomato richness with garlic, basil and a peppery kick.

When I decided to expand beyond conserves and jams, the first sauce I made was Arrabbiata. The reason was simple: pasta had become enormously popular in India, yet most of the sauces on supermarket shelves were imported from thousands of miles away and made with concentrated tomato purée.

I felt there was room for something fresher and more authentic. Our Arrabbiata is made from fresh tomatoes that are chopped and slowly cooked with garlic, a touch of chilli, and fresh herbs. That’s it, simple, honest ingredients that allow the flavour of the tomatoes to shine through.
